If i went to a dealer and seen a corsa for say £700 but have a car worth £2000, can you trade your car in and receive money your way? Sorry if its a stupid question

Of course if they want your car but be prepared to be offered short of what its worth in PX.

normal practice. but as colin said, they will probably give you a shit PX unless they really want your car or want rid of the other one.

Why doesn't it bother you? If you come to me to trade car in for one of less value I would instantly think yours was dodgy and go through it with a fine toothcomb .
Seems strange your not bothered about it been under valued
