Been on here for years, but more of a reader than a poster at the min. But thought i'd put pics up of my Golf GT TDI 150 i'm currently in the process of sorting out..........
Started out as a pretty much standard Golf apart from Eibach Springs and a generic re-map. It's the model with the Recaro leathers in, which are nice to sit in
Found some anniversary wheels in mint condition on FleaBay so snapped those up and fitted some Uniroyal Rainsports. Plus changed the horrible standard front grill.
It's had a Jabbasport Stage 2 hybrid turbo fitted and a full Milltek stainless turbo back with de-cat and enlarged downpipe. The mapping is getting finished off on Monday. It was backed off to 185 due to some major-vibration-from-flywheel issues. When it's mapped were expecting 220--230 BHP and around 380-400ftlb of torques.
Had a bit of a setback with it having a chocolate camshaft too. Ended up missing a cam lobe! Expensive fix......
Ongoing plans are: -
Anniversary front and rear valances with skirts, i have these but they are not sprayed yet.
New flywheel and uprated clutch to replace the noisy single mass flywheel.
Quaife ATB Diff.
Brembo 4 piston front calipers with 323mm Leon discs.
Bilstein B12 shocks, front and rear roll bars and polybushes.
I'll keep you all posted on what it makes on the rollers on Monday

Shifts a bit as it is Mike as the boost doesn't drop off much and it pulls all the way through. Can't wait until it's finished......

No FMIC? Don't they struggle with that sort of power on standard intercooler? Nice all the same Won't be slow!

Yeah they have a FMIC, it sits in front of the rad. It's the same size as the rad too, so plenty big enough. Apparently, the standard IC is more than adequate for the spec

Bit of an update on the car for people who were interested last time.
Car was finally final mapped at JabbaSport today. It made.......
221BHP and 355FTLB.
I was expecting around 370-380, but had a dual mass flywheel back in. The chatter was doing my head in from the single mass.
The mapper dropped the torque slightly and has put it more progressive for when it comes on boost.
The Quaife diff was fitted too, so can't wait to pick it up on wednesday see how different it is. Need to fit the Bilsteins and she's all done bar the bodywork.

Pretty sure that the badgeless slatted grills come with the infill part . My girlfreinds getting a slatted one for hers but she's sending the car to the bodyshop to get the infill part welded and smoothed off

Eck - Not driven it yet, but with the power, diff and stuff it should be pretty good on the road.
