The wife and I are off work from tomorrow till Tuesday next week and wee want to get away for a couple of days. The plan was a trip to London but its costing £250 for fuel then £300 for the hotel for 2 night so your lookin at £600+ for 2 nights. Sack that shit lol.
Anyone know of a nice place to get away for a few nights that doesn't require a bank loan.

Manchester - Britannia hotel (I think thats it) £80 a night on a discount site rather than directly, and plenty to do there, plus less travelling.

I went didsbury at the weekend, nice area, Britannia country house hotel was alright too.
Got a deal through late rooms for £50 for executive room, breakfast and evening meal.

Best thing to do, go on ryanair website, look to see what flights are cheapest, book, and off you go.
Often see flights to barcelona for like £29 etc then go find a b&b when you get there.

Devon? Barnstable by train? Ilfracombe and woolacombe. My dad lives in the latter and owns a cafe in ilfracombe, very scenic!
