Off to Majorca in <2 weeks, got a hire car cos it was hardly any more than the coach transfers.

I've got a Garmin Nuvi 200 that I've had for years, the UK maps are out of date and the Europe maps are only major roads.

I'd rather not pay

, how do I go about getting a full spain map so I don't get lost as? I assume download and load it somehow onto an SD card that goes in the side?

You're just after the Europe NT 23.10 (believe that's the recent version) maps. It's only a few GB so will take you an hour or two to download.

Just make sure you read the sticky's in the Tutorial section on how to update the maps.

Not a Garmin user, so you'll have to have a read of the forums. Just make sure to either backup (/image) the SD card or use another SD card for these updates.

I tried to update me maps on my nuvi as well. couldnt figure it out so updated me speed camera thingies instead for the whole of Europe.

Works a treat

Downloaded, stitched together and chucked on a 2GB SD card. Seems to be working lovely.

Yeah definitely, I've put USA maps onto both my TomTom and my friends Garmin ready for when we go over in August

I used the US maps from GPS Underground on my garmin, worked a treat!

It's fine after a few minutes although headlights was the only issue i had, kept reverting to looking left and getting blinded.
