Amazing both how close the two SRBs land to each other, and also how close the recovery ships are! Given the 41 miles up thats a very precise landing spot!

I will probably seem the most stupid person ever now but why did the boosters fall back to earth ? I thought they would have just continued to float in space unless they detracted at a distance where the gravitation pull of the earth was still active ?

I went when I was younger <10years old and even saw a shuttle launch. Unfortunately I can't remember it, just got a toy shuttle and a photograph to show for it.

Likewise I went when I was younger. The day we landed in America there was a launch and we Stoped at the side of the road along with a lot of people and saw one go up

I've been to the Kennedy Space Centre too, but like Kyle I was too young to really remember anything now. All I do remember is seeing the huge shuttle mover.
