Me and the missus have a week off, and she really wants to go to madam tussards (sp) and have a general day trip look around before sunday.

Is it going to be absolutely manic? Worth waiting till we have a week off outside the school hols?

I drive past madame tousards every once in a while, it can get pretty mental, with ques going down the street. Try getting there early, avoid the ques and have the rest of the day to spend around london

Tourist traps like madame tussauds, dungeons, museums etc will be packed but you might lucky with madame tussauds if you do first thing (opens around 9 i believe) or closing/last admission. Obviously the tubes will be busier than usual but it won't be 'manic' by any means, you'll still be able to manoeuvre around the city without too much aggro (unless there are line works on the tube etc, as that can be a ballache depending on where you're heading).

It will be busy, yes. You're lucky you wasn't there today, bloody nightmare. Roads shut, diversions, crappy fucking annoying protests, the bloody lot today.

You'll be waiting a while with summer hols and olympics going up.

It's a busy city in general just have to go with it.

Less chance of school trips to places like that during half term anyway...

Managed 2/3 drops, but couldn't do the 3rd as traffic wasn't moving into central London. So turned around and went home
