Been having a mess around with a bass guitar recently and trying to find some decent tracks to play along to. Nothing too heavy or difficult as I'm a beginner. Can anyone think of any bassy tracks or even link to YouTube?

Police/Sting (learn't by ear, as i'm not too hot on tabs/scoring) - Good rhythms and some of it is reasonably straight forward on the bass. Gets a bit trickier with 'Englishman in New York' though.

Edit - Fleetwood Mac (The Chain etc) and Dire Straits are also worth looking at.

Beginner?
In fact a lot of the above isn't exactly Beginner stuff

Edit - Thinking about it, Under The Bridge might be alright. It's just the 'break down' towards the end where it might get a bit tricky for a beginner.

As said, The Chain is also a piece of piss.

Tbh, if you're serious about playing then it's obviously worth getting a tutor to learn proper fingering/technique. Worth doing scales as well.
