We have a baby monitor and it seems the batteries in it don't charge fully anymore so it doesn't stay on for long.

They are 800mah, and it's a 6v charger in the monitor.

Could I use it to charge 2000mah batteries? Or would that break something? My guess was that they'd only charge to 800mah and would work ok?

As long as the battery type in the same then it should be ok; will just mean the batteries will take longer to charge.
