My Mrs has just sold her LTD Edition Corsa as its just too small to get my little boy in and out of in his car seat.

She is now looking a reasonable sized, 5 door, diesel. It must have a hatch(for the dog) and be no older than 09 plate. She is looking to spend upto 12k.

She likes the Qashqai and also Insignia's. Has anybody got any other suggestions??

Those insignia's are so cheap, make you wonder what they will be worth in 5 years time tho.

That's what bothers me about them.

Are the golf edition 30s only petrol or can you get a diesel version?

The sri cdti I had for a week was a great car and looked the part. Didn't realise they had come down in price so much

Even the older golfs go for silly money. Can only be a good thing though if theyre worried about its value in so many years

Megane Sports Tourer - 1.5 Diesel 129bhp, 5 door with a big boot for the dog.

Nissan Juke dCi - Not sure if they can be had for £12k though.

Good engines the dCi.

She's decided she'll spend 16k now so that has given her a few extra options.
