If it's not on DVLA it generally isn't available as I'm pretty sure that's where they get them from.
Might be able to find them for sale private though.
Put the reg number in ASK MID and see what comes up. Or the vehicle enquiry on direct.gov. Will show if it's insured etc

The others sites get the from the DVLA unless they are being advertised for private customers do save money and go through the dvla site and all the fees are paid then.

Christ, i'd never go out looking for an exact plate, needle in a haystack or what
They've probs not been issued or are dead now.

One I want is £608 on newreg and £815 on DVLA. How much is the transfer cost if you don't buy from DVLA out of interest?

DVLA is the cheapest and safest option for new un-issued plates.
Be careful on some other sites some are a bit devious, they'll lost it for one price and when you show interest tell you its actually a lot more.

Newreg price won't include transfer fee or VAT
DVLA is always the cheapest for plates which haven't been previously issued.

Same. Found mine on eBay for £500, checked it out on DVLA and paid £255 for it.

T84 GIS isn't a valid plate.
