can i sort it out or has it attacked the lacquer too much and need painting again? won't wipe off sadly.

had this on my wheels

found that just repainting the whole area was best solution

kinda thinking its the only solution seems to have killed the lacquer sadly ffs.

i tried white spirit, petrol , light going over of wire wool, wet and dry paper, ended up doing a rushed refurb so they look tacky up close, but hey ho

yeah will have to strip it down and re paint it again. got bonnet lifters to paint this week so will start doing it then.

Yep repaint. Try a cutting compound first. May get away with it

I had some bits like that and whacked some mer over it and it got it off. Might not have eaten away as much as yours though

I've got some auto glym paint renovator, might give that a shot if not dig out the masking tape time.

you'll need a propper compound like g3 id say but it might be ok with abit of elbow grease
