My paw is having bother with his 57 plate Vectra diesel. When in higher gears (very rarely 5th, almost always 6th) it has an intermittent issue where it'll begin to shudder under load, and hesitate quite badly through the revs. No eml, so no codes as that's been checked already. It ran braw for a while there (a month or so after the last time it happened) and now it's started again. It clears itself eventually but has anyone come across this?

Estate? Only reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking dpf. It afaik only the estate has it.

probably no help at all alex as mine is petrol but. mine did the same underload but in first and second no eml, then when i gave it some beans the eml came on and the car went into limp mode, ended up having a new ecu, spark plugs, coil pack etc, has he had the spark plugs and coil pack done the last time it happened?

Diesels don't have coil packs or spark plugs.

wont be egr, well unlikeyl

could be DMF vibrating under torque, only normaly on tuned cars

or could be injector 3 wiring harness, though that throws up a code normaly
