I bought a mains powered flash head which has an output power of 200Ws (watts per second i'm lead to believe).

Is that the same as 200w?

Would I be okay to run that using this 300w power inverter?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ring-Automotive-RINV300-Powersource-Inverter/dp/B000TLSLQ0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342439332&sr=8-1

Or is watts per second totally different to watts?

200Ws is the flashs output, no?

If it was W it would be consumption.

Oh yeah. Duh!
Even I should have realised that.
I wonder what the mains consumption is then It's not listed anywhere.

But, and now I know very little about electricity, I believe that any power source outputting mains power will be able to charge the flash.

Depending on the wattage output of said power source charging time might just go up or down.

This is just guess work though, tbh...

I guess that makes sense actually. It would charge it, but i would just take longer.

Cheers Balling.

Andy, I forgot about the lamp
