I know there are a few people on here who run businesses, who do you use for your card payments? I've been quoted £49 joining fee, £12.50pm and 11p per debit card transaction from Elevon, sounds good but are there any better ones out there? Don't particularly fancy getting bombarded with sales calls once i've filled in the enquiry things via Streamline, none of the bastards put their pricing online.
Any tips appreciated

I hear good things about Elavon.
Don't even bother with Barclaycard, they are fucking shit They said they would have to hold my funds for 45 days + 3 days for "processing".

Maybe you could reveal their name/costs etc?

Aye, i'm steering clear of them. Had been using Paypal for the last few years as we didn't take many cards, now though we need to, and people don't like paying an extra 3.6% particularly.

I use Barclaycard. They don't hold my funds any longer than RBS did when I used them, which was no time at all.
So no idea why they would have told you that, Sam.

I know of other IT companies that had the same problems when they wanted to open an account with them, so they probably see IT as a high fraud risk industry.

Terminal was free, monthly price is £17.50 iirc, no more than £18.00 though
EDIT - A mate works for Transax, he assured me they were 'Mates Rates'. None of the banks or even Elavon could touch his quote

Ah, i'll see what they're requiring, didn't mention anything on the phone but might be why it's cheap!
