Hi i was just wondering if anyone could help me out as i know there is some vag people on here My friends 06 passat diesel is making a weird noise, We got told it could of been the EGR valve so we replaced this with a brand new VW part and didn't fix the problem?? made a small video to show you the noise and where it is coming from any help will be appreciated

Faulty diesel injector possibly.

Sounds like worn buckets. Camshafts are bad for wearing down the buckets. But then again I'm listening on my phone just now.

If it is then there is modified camshafts. Reason I know is I had to replace my brother's on his anniversary. Don't buy them from VW, search the net. You'll get them at a fraction of the price.
