Friends birthday soon and he's decided a night out in Newcastle is on the cards (not sure why Newcastle but it's his bday so his rules)

Places to stay in the city centre? found a travel lodge but not entirely sure how far away it is from places?
Places to go, places to avoid? any help appreciated!

Travel lodge or similar right next to the footy ground.

Second that, the Travelodge is pretty much bang in the centre, right next to the bridge.

Premier Inn Quayside is spot on, not too expensive and wasn't too far to walk anywhere

Could stay in Jemond, great if it nice weather with lots of good bars with beer gardens and terraces, plus you're only looking at a couple of quid in a taxi to anywhere in town.

Really depends on budget and what type of bars/clubs you're after

We stayed in Pmemier Inn Central with is next to Liquid. Grea place to stay and the bars open all night lol!
