I'm going to this on Saturday, looking forward to it.
Old CRT TV's had a perfect picture etc.

8K
22.2 channel sound
A lot of truth in this statement:
"anyone investing in 4K may as well go right to the end of the track and put their money in 8K instead"
Unfortunately, this will mean a step less in evolution and less money to be made.

There's one set up in BBC Scotland if you didn't know.
Mental that there's only 3 cameras in the world.

Unless your name is Andrew in which case you'll have a £1000 TV in the "spare bedroom" that's hardly used.

Was at this today. Really impressive. So sharp and fluid. The selection of Olympics was a bit rubbish but the technology is amazing.
Would change the way you watched things because the Akers can get so much in one shot.
Sound is excellent as well.
There were some artefacts in 1 part of the opening ceremony in the dark, looked a bit like rain. There were a couple of bits of slowed down shots at the basketball which weren't as smooth as they should have been. I think this is processing though.
Much better than current 3D. Can't wait to get one.
