hey fokes , just out of curiosity , how much all in is a red top conversion , what kind of tools and equipment are needed to do the job ,
any replys will be appreciated

Depends massively, could be a high mileage engine and second hand bits or warranted condition or re-built and all new parts to do it.
Anything from a few hundred to grands depending how you approach it.
You need a fairly good set of tools, nothing too specialist but definitely a good set of 1/2" drive sockets, breakers bar, big lever to get the bottom ball joints out, big chisel for the shafts and an engine hoist.

I paid well over a grand all in - mainly because I rebuilt it and had machine work done, I'm sure if you don't care about that then it would be easy to do under a grand
