Nankangs tend to be the stretch of choice. My advice generaly would be dont bother doing it
Ive got stretched tyres on my polo, have pissed me off since day 1 tbh. All you do is spend time worrying about them comeing off or loosing pressure if you hit a bump in the road, cornering feels dog with them aswell
Might just be me but i hate it
Mine are nankang ns2's 165/50/15 stretched onto 7j lenso's

I've never had any come off in years i've run them.
195/45/14's for rears and 195/40/14's for the front (if you can find them!)

Just fit the proper size tyre ffs. Stretched tyres look stupid and can be dangerous.

Fitting a 4" exhaust to a 1ltr Corsa is stupid as well but it looks good on the right car.
Each to there own.

Yawn.
195-225 will look good and fit fine on that width. Just make sure the tyres are close enough to the arch to pull the look off!

Unless you go for a silly stretch I.e 165/50 on an 8j rim then you need not worry. They won't pop off either. I've always run a mild stretch and I've always driven fast and never had a problem.
If your after handling then dont do it as stretch tyres break traction easier due to lack of sidewall movement. Jimmys suggestion sounds perfect. He knows what he's talking about. He's a wise old man lol

165/50 on an 8j on my girlfriends punto. These were only on as we swapped wheels. Tyres were then changed to 185/45s, much better stretch.
