Hi...

Brother's birthday, he's given a few ideas, the above are two things he needs. However we're working on a strict budget here, around £20-30 for a kettle, and £40 for a lawn mower. I don't know anything about them! So... any recommendations?

I just looked on the Gadget Show reviews for the top 5 kettles, but the cheapest one they review is £50 bit much really!

You won't be getting an amazing version of either for that budget, just get whatever looks good, curry's have loads of kettles.

Why not combine the money and buy just one thing of much better quality?

No... because they're gifts from different people. And they not willing to 'combine'!

We bought a cheap £20 breville stainless kettle when we first moved in. Nothing wrong with it.

Looks like it's terrible at being a kettle.

Most people will be wanting to know how quick it boils, how long it'll last and what it looks like will be there too.

I think I'd prefer relevant vouchers in your Brothers shoes so I could put them towards a decent kettle and a decent mower.
