Lol at people saying alu is not a suitable material to use but the correct offset wheels are, what do they think the wheels are made out of

The spacers aren't doing the same job as the wheels in this fitment though, they are effectively becoming an extension of the hub.

you think those spacers and wheels are made from pure aluminium?

They arent.

Looks like they have simply been over tightened for the first couple of pics. I havent read further yet

ahhh... aye....

There is a funny but obvious devide on GTRoc

The R32/33/34 owners and then 35 muppets with no clue (not all)

Totally different customer base.... not enthousiast /petrolheads but just folk that want a fast 'cool' car

It looks exactly like a decent hubcentric spacer.... just feckin think one!

Would be interesting to know how far out the OE struds sat (if at all)
How tight the studs holding the spacer were
How tight holding the wheel to the spacer (see gap in wheel mounting face)

Something has either been done wrong or there was a pretty severe manufacturing flaw on that spacer.

The fact that the company has posted to say they dont even make 15mm hubcentric spacers for a GTR says alot

I run something similar

However they are eibach so I imagine are fine, the bolts are done to same torque as wheel nuts, been fine so far though the puma is a lot lighter than a gtr lol

Can't you get spacers that use the hub holes and longer bolts?

seem dodgy to me

yes.... but the 'internet' used to say they were bad and hubcentric bolt on were the best...

Impreza runs slide on hubcentric 16mm spacers with longer studs
GTR runs bolt on 25mm hubcentric.

The only thing dodgy is the width (a bit like steves). The bolts and OE studs are poking out of them!

not if like mine the car runs wheel studs, you can fit longer studs of course but that involves splitting the hub which ruins the bearings at the same time.

you dont have to split hubs on many cars.....

Impreza - just battered the OE stubs out with a lump hammer. Then pull thought the longer ones. 20min job per wheel
