I think I had something years ago where you could watch a streaming movie and could pretty much output the video to a file even when a download option was not present/possible on the website.

Can anyone reccomend anything?

Its a screen grabber you want. You set the part of the screen you want to record etc. Surely google brings something up?

Yes of course it does, it also brings up A LOT of spam.

I am capable of a google search, I am looking for someone who has experience of this and can recommend something.

If its a flash video should appear in your temp internet files anyway

Depending on the stream then StreamTransport or ReplayMedia (have to five finger discount this).
