Been installing the RC on one of the work machine. Quite painful how long some new systems take to boot.
Wish I could just put the RTM on to avoid a reinstall in a few weeks but hey ho

1280 is not right for a 19". You'll want to use your native 19" resolution, or the screen will resample and make everything blurry. Your 19" is likely to have a 1440 x 900 native res.
Unless of course your screen is a crappy 720p television, in which case pixel mapping is turned off / not supported.

Nope! Got a standard 5:4 19" Samsung here with a native resolution of 1280x1024

my 19" is a 5:4 too and its fuzzy, the recommended resolution is 1280x1024
Here's an example
see the shadowing on the red, its like this across IE10, firefox, even in windows explorer etc, so maybe not program based, I think Im going to purchase a new monitor, as mentioned, tested on my mates 24" monitor and it's fine

This using DVI or VGA?
Are you running the latest graphics drivers? Done an update if not?
Worth also downloading the correct drivers/profile for your monitor.

That'll be a VGA cable issue

5:4 screens still exist!
Much better aspect ratio for web surfing, wish it was the standard format.

Yup, this will be your issue. Ideally you want to keep the signal chain completely digital, so opt for DVI/HDMI/Displayport where ever possible.

I was told despite it differences in digital and analogue, they will not make much difference, a lot of monitors still come with a VGA input rather than DVI?
