Looking at upgrading in the next couple of months, budget 2-2.5k and around a 52 oldest. Smart looking car, bit more grown up than a Clio
I've been looking at Alfa 147's 1.9jtd, anything else in that type of price range and that shape? I'm 21 so looking at nothing above insurance group 11/12 nor 120bhp+

Ps would prefer a diesel just for the power delivery you get and the lazy driving style.

Link noshua? Don't want to spend a fortune on insurance.
Seen a few Leon's along with grande puntos etc.
I had my heart set on a 147 but there is a lot of horror stories outnthere

I had a 147, there is a quality feel about them, great to drive, however depreciate quickly and expensive to fix, pretty much main dealer only, be lucky to find any indy's to fix one!!

Depends how much you want to own one, also probably how long you are going to own it for
A lot of stuff on them requires specialist tools hence why indy's don't touch them
I loved it, but I wouldn't buy another unless it was a lot newer.
Mine was a 2003 '52' by the way.

Astra coupe 1.8. Feels well made and more "prestige" than a 1.8 hatch. Ins group 9. 125 bhp.

No links Tom as I did this. Mk4 golf for that price though? Not sure about a nice diesel for that price though.
