Fuck off. Please, show me where I've gone wrong in this thread. I've just stated what is legal and what is illegal and how to correct the illegal wiring.
Suck my balls.
Were you've gone wrong?!
I'd say you started being wrong by using the terms 'Legal' and 'Illegal' when referring to an electrical installation.
Chloe just call a local (recomended) electrician and get it done properly etc.

There is no requirement for an EICR mate, it's recommended for each change of occupancy but it's not required by any law etc..

Even still I'd follow the recommendation especially with the state of the wiring described

Oh, I'm sorry there Pow. Because isolating a circuit makes it safe. Because nobody tampers with circuit breakers because they think "I just want a cup of tea" without consulting the electrician working on the circuit.
There's a reason most electricians lock off circuits with a physical lock. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Even if I knew a circuit was isolated, I'd wear rubber soled boots and work with insulated tools. It's how you are taught to work because one day, you don't know if some faggot is going to turn the power back on without your knowledge/consent.
Anyway, just get the test done / get a local spark to fix it for cheap.

Legal and illegal, not literally but by terms of electrical installation, I mean, abide to BS7671 and not abide to BS7671.

Then you should have said it doesn't conform to electrical regulations noted in the IEE wiring regulations (BS7671) which by the way isn't a legal document, unlike the EAWR which is.
Saying legal and illegal just makes it sound like you don't know what your talking about. A little knowledge is dangerous as they say.
