I'm assuming a few of you have had this problem in the past?

What methods have you used to shift it, I've tried all sorts of house cleaning products and can't get rid of it, any tips? Any of the shelf products that are 'supposed' to clean it that actually work?

Wonder wheels works great, or a strong degreaser.

i used engine de greaser and a bit stiff yard brush although it kinda left some sort of film when i washed it away. it did clean it a bit, although didnt remove it totally. i dont really think its possible on tarmac to remove it completely. well ive not managed it anyway.

Its concrete not Nic so hopefully I can get rid of it. Will try petrol and wire brush.

I used sawdust and a power hose, but I had the sawdust on the spill as soon as it happened. Worked a treat!

I have just been doing this overt the weekend

I used Bayer oil patch remover http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bayer-Patch-Remover-Concentrate-Litre/dp/B000TAXZN0

Its done a brilliant job. I had to repeat the process a couple of times but I just put it on the oil stain neat, scrubbed it in with a stiff bristled brush and then left it overnight and pressure washed off the next morning. Worked an absolute treat.

Edit: This was on my parents drive where my car has been leaking used engine oil for a good 3 months
