the front end is the only thing that let these down. that bonnet line is awful aswell. looks like they've copied renault.

Hate threads like this when I'm trying to persuade myself to keep my current A4 until next summer!
Sounds like you are looking at exactly the same cars as me, although I'm potentially looking at estates.
Pity the Audi is out of the question. The Black Edition is stunning.
What about a Volvo V60 or S60 D3/D5 R-Design? (seriously!)
Possible contender for me.

Tell me about it. A4 black edition in white was my first choice - was even on order for 8 weeks before the lead time slipped into 2013
Volvo isnt in our dealer group so a no go...
If I can get the 20" 5 arm rotor wheels on an A6 2.0 tdi 177 saloon SLine in phantom black pearl, I will probably go for that.
