What Steve said tbh.
Can't predict that happening, it's one of them things, you haven't sold it with a fault. Sounds like a wanker tbh.
OT: Steve have you been on a track? (Serious question) been on holiday I must have missed it!!

Cheers Aido, ill give you a shout!
I told him that i wouldnt sell it dodgy. I told him i saw my mate do the cambelt and watched it running with the cover off (which i did), everything was tight and it was running nice. I trusted it was done properly so drove 300 miles down south (had it done up north) and have done 1000 miles since its been done. I said, do yo really think im stupid enough to drive a car that was broken?
He replied "How do i know you didnt ask your mate to break it, i dont believe a word you say, you knew it was broke all along. I asure you i will get my money back"
To which ive told him "Ok good luck, i guess i will see you in court then, fine by me, see you there"
Have left it like that, if he starts with more shit ill talk the 5-0
He seems fooking stupid, thinking i knew it was going to break, why would i fooking drive it if i did!

Shite for him but it's just the way it goes. My brother once sold a motorbike that blew up shortly after, sadly mechanical things can break at any time.

Wonder if he was kicking the shit out of it and missed a gear. Maybe 4th to 3rd instead of 4th to 5th. Mate of mine did that in his corsa. Made a right mess

He could of done anything to it jack
Car could of ran low on oil and something's seized and made a the belt slip
As said above could of went into the wrong gear and over revved it.
Just tell him to do one mate anymore off him and you'll log a complaint with the police.

No heard anything since. We left it as I don't agree with him, he doesn't agree with me.
Told him the next time I speak to him will be in court if he wants.
He replied saying "hahahahaha yeah you think that " and that was it

Caveat motor, buyer beware as suggested.
No recourse on a private sale unless you willingly misrepresented.
He had the option to get the car seen by a mechanic or specialist and didn't. So not your problem. I would keep all messages just in case. Anything amounting to harassment call 101 and get a ref number.
Am a solicitor btw so need any info let me know.
