Is it legal to drive a vehicle to a pre-booked MOT without tax and insurance?

Not without insurance, you're alright without tax and MOT but you always need insurance.

that was my assumption too but wanted someone elses input. Which kind of bollocks us up now

the vans been off the road for afew weeks after we got a new one, insurance was transferred onto the new one, then because you have to SORN it the tax had to come off too. Now it needs an MOT to see if its worth keeping on as a second vehicle should definitely have sorted all this out before we got the new one

Day Insurance could be a possibility. Probably best to phone up and check first though. Otherwise it's finding someone with a trailer or transporter to sort it for you.

yeah, we also got temporary cover from our insurance company while we swapped them over so the vans overlapped by a week or so so we'll probably just end up doing that
