Brake problems, i believe, are sticking calipers and cracking discs.

Timing chain issues are starting to rear their head on the Engines in both the Vectra and newer Insignias, mapped and standard. Low number of cases mind.

Depreciating like a bitch. My Vectra has gone down another £1-1.5k in the year I've had it. Meh. Only live once, not overly bothered if I'm honest. Running costs probably the main influence on that, and brand snobbery.

Think the Insignia also commands a Man Tax premium as does mine.

Buy one, and go out and wind up some German machinery on the roads. It's a proper laugh.

Don't get fucking wanky Arden Blue mind. Truly awful on such a big barge.

What a coincidence! I was working in a house today and a car rumbling outside made me actually down tools to take a look

Sure enough it was a white Insignia VXR. Looked amazing big alloys, big brakes

PS, I wouldn't have one. I'd spend the same money on a VXR8.

I think a VXR8 would be amusing for 5 minutes. Not sure I could live with it, surely its single figures MPG?

Also from the original Insignia thread :

Now that they have been around a while and assuming a few have been mapped is this an 'actual' issue or just an armchair comment?

I think mapped examples are coping well without issues with the drivetrain...

FFS just looked at VXR8's and 15k gets you a good one.

Also just had a look at Monkfish and tuning prices sound reasonable as well.

To get a 335i to reliable 400/400 properly is more expensive then people realise I think. I've looked into it a lot.
