Does anyone else get this problem? Sometimes when the suns directly on my windscreen I can hardly see at all, majority of the time it's down to on coming headlights at night, but gets to the point of being really dangerous!

Now I'm not sure if it's because I need to wear glasses when driving or not. I've tried cleaning the inside of my windscreen, that helped a bit but didn't solve it... I drive an R53 Cooper S, and stone chips on the screen seem to be quite a problem on it, could this cause it!? Also, does anybody use products on their windows that help reduce glare? Not sure if anything exists that does it! Could be a question for the detailers

clean your dashboard aswell and get rid of any shiny bits that may be on there.

failing that, you just need to wear sunglasses in the day and pull the sunvisor down at night which works for me.

Never had an issue with my Mini or indeed any other vehicle I've owned.

May be down to glasses to an extent, I've never worn them so wouldn't know

Dirty glass can cause it to an extent - what were you using to clean the glass?

Problem with pulling the sunvisor down at night is me being tall and the windscreen not being very big this = me not being able to see ahead of me!

It was Windolene I used to clean the screen, nothing fancy! Got any products you recommend instead?

Dirty screen and taxi style dash shine are the culprits

I suspect it was smearing tbh. Near on all glass cleaners do to an extent, but Auto Finesse Crystal or Autoglym Fast Glass (diluted 1:1 with water) work pretty well. Or a glass polish

Cheers Rich! I could do with giving the whole car a proper valet really, it's not messy, i just wish it was in the same condition as the cars in the detailing threads!

Some limo black tint film from Halfrauds should do the trick!

I found that Pledge glass and surface wipes are great for it, leave no streaks at all
