Would a full 1.2 16v rebuilt engine be worth?
Thanks

Probably about the same as non-rebuilt one, depending who does it, they're no more reliable.

Dads determined for me to pay £560 for this to be done! It needs new sump gasket, timing chain, head gasket and to be skimmed and he just keeps saying, atleast i will have a car and its pretty much garenteed not to break! Im not even bothered about a 2ltr anymore i just want a car again so i said il buy another car and he just says and what if they blows up too! :/ Im also going to get charged £80 from the garage for taking apart my engine :/

More to break than just the engine.

Blimey.
Yours is 8v though? Or are you meaning get a 16v and rebuild it before putting it in?
Seriously wouldn't do that, cheap engine and bosh in the bay, cheap cheap. If it fails, do it again and you're still up. If you were delivering organs then maybe you need something reliable but really, old engine and AA membership, you're never going to starve in the desert.

Just get another for £100 and put it in, even if it breaks and there's no reason why it should, you can still afford to replace it 5 times and you'll still be up.

This is the way to go.
No point whatsoever rebuilding a 1.2 to go in to an old car.

Going through on the 20th:
41k, loom fire damage, doesn't run.
99k, rear damage, runs and drives.
23rd:
46k, side, runs and drives.
59k, rear, runs and drives.
76k, front/side, runs.
128k, side, runs and drives.
I'd probably favour the 41k, fire damage so it won't be very popular, its local to me so I can get it delivered and its low miles.
Or if you pay me £560 I'll buy you all of them.

Just tell him it's your car and you'll do what you want with it
That's what I had planned to do until my parents were just like "ok have fun"

You want one?
£290 delivered based on winning either of those at minimum bid, that price is an engine on a pallet to your door.
Then get the boys round to help put it in, cost you a tenner in tea bags and biscuits.
£300 back on the road.
