Saw this earlier.

I was caught out by wet weather, leaves and a feather light throttle.

Err no, you booted it and lost control.

Andrew Mitchinson pranged a 205mph Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

The car belongs to millionaire businessman Stephen Leahy, who bought the car, which has a top speed of 211mph

Well? Which is it?

means he was going at 205mph to test the brakes then at around 25-30mph after slowing down from 205mph he spun out and crashed blaming leaves.

I was reading about this in the local paper this morning. I wouldn't take my car to that garage for an MOT so what he's doing taking a Lamborghini there is beyond me. Its just a small independent garage in a small village! If you've got the money to buy a Lambo you've got the money to send it back to the dealer at Manchester for an MOT....

But if you've bought the Lambo, you've spent the money. That's kinda how it works...

But hotelier Mr Leahy believes the accident has lowered the vehicle’s potential sell-on value.

He said the prang has affected its provenance, the unique identity, and guarantee that it has not been seriously damaged, that other buyers would be looking for.

Surely going to the press about it and spreading the news nationally is probably not the ideal course of action to take then?

I'm also slightly baffled after Matty's post as to why a man from Greater Manchester has took his car to somewhere near Kendal for its MOT, surely what he's saving on the price of the MOT, is somewhat less than the cost of driving a 6.2 litre V12 to Kendal and back?

Agree with Matty to be fair, plus I assume they would pick it up and deliver it and keep it in one piece if you went to the deal. Obviously you pay more but look what that chump did.

The guy owns a hotel up here somewhere so maybe he lives up here most of the time. Still makes no sense why he's taken it to that garage.

There's a video of it on the local paper website...

The guy that created the grand theft auto games still takes his ferrari for an mot at the same small independant garage that i take my cars to. He was in one day when i was there. The owner of the garage told me that the guy used to get his mot's done there before he was rich.

Guess hes just been loyal to his local busnisess.
