of getting my hands on some of the all new AS platinum to test out
And when i say pleasure i really do mean it!
I personally am a wax man myself, natural wax's have always had a place in my heart and on my car so this is my first use of a sealant/hybrid on my own car
It will be one i will be sticking with
So i started at about 4 when it was getting dark so no before pictures really
Method
Rinsed
Wheels done with AS Smart Wheels 10:1
Washed with AS Duet
Rinsed
Dried using AS Tango as a drying aid and gloss enhancer and a Shinearama drying towel
No clay or tar remover as it was done a week or 2 ago and there was no sign of any deposits
Then it was down to the Platinum
The new Platinum has a much nicer smell and texture than the last one, and seems to go a lot longer
Used one of the AS polish/wax applicators
All you needed was a 10p blob to do a full panel if not more
Anyways as stated im usually a wax man myself, for the main reason of the gloss it gives you, you just cant get that from a sealant, however with the new Platinum, you get the protecting power of a sealant with the gloss affect of a wax
Went on like a dream, left for around 5-10 mins to cure (giving me time to do half a car at a time) then buffed off with a fresh microfiber which also came off a lot easier than any wax or sealant i've ever used
I was under strict instructions to give it at least 2 coats, one at moderate pressure, wait a hour, one at very very light pressure... so that's what she got 
Then there's the finish......... ill let the pictures speak for themselves!

How much does that stuff cost? I hate using hard waxes as it takes ages to apply it to the whole car! Could go round the whole car with that stuff in no time.

Not sure tbh jamie, as stated test product so it was freeeee haha
i think its about £20-25 for 5ltr of the stuff
that little bottle i had will easily do 4 very liberal coats, so its well worth it

Looks good, but tbh whenever I see these cleaning/wax thread, I always think I can get similar results using cheap off the shelf shite. I never go expensive and can still get my cars as shiny.

its not just how shiny you can get a car though
you could polish a car with cheap products that will get dust and shite everywhere during your polishing stages or you could use a nice polish that wont dust up, then you could protect it useing tesco value wax and it will stay protected for a week
or you could put a nice wax or sealant on it that will give it a realy nice deep glossy finish and last for 6months onwards
each to there own i guess but you could say the same about car parts....
why take a evo to a evo specialist to get it serviced when i can do it at home on my own with halfords parts for alot cheaper and it will still work?

 If I could do the job at home with Halfords parts I would.
Each to their own yeah, wasn't having a dig, I just think you can get the same results without paying over the odds.

yer i know you wernt.... neither was i btw
i know alot of people who use cheap cleaning stuff and go mad at me for useing some of the expensive stuff i use at the mo.. i agree on some levels... things like zymol wax's that cost £3000 i wouldnt even look twice at to be honest and ive never understood that
