Just got thrashed by one of these soft-top thingys. It was spewing out smoke under hard acceleration so im guessing it was turbo'ed, kept up with it as much as i could but i dont like doing 70 in a 40, so i backed off.

Its just what the Japs call the MX-5 i think or what people call the MX-5 over here if they dont want to tell people they drive a hairdressers car. Think they are NA tuned as well not turbo.

yeh they look abit 323 ish, not sure marc i askd b4 an they said it was a turbo 1.8 but i had my doubts about me cos the sound was unbelieveable

MX3 is a 1.8 V6 I thought, dont think they are that quick really, about 8 secs 0-60 or so?

well it was fucking quick all the same! I didnt do too badly up to 50, i was still closely behind him, but he started to edge away slightly. After 60 i thought sod it, i aint losing my licence! But he carried on up to 100 i reckon. in a 40!!!

it's just an imported MX-5. the 1.8 is around 8s to 60, 1.6 is around 9 I think. you get a S/C kit for them though and a turbo.
