Got a slow puncture on the Astra and need a new tyre, for some reason I can't find anything cheaper than £100 a corner. I had a new tyre a few months back and it came in at something like £55, has my tyre size seen inflated prices recently?

To replace my current tyre like for like the size is 205 / 50 / 16 / 87 / N.

Can I use a different size / spec, I don't really understand the different numbers and what works with what. I just want something cheap (under £60 fitted) that doesn't go flat all the time, not interested in paying silly money for a tyre, the roads the car travels on are full of crap from the local chavs so you only end up with a puncture anyway

edit - I've found a Nankang Comfort Eco 2 for £65.70, probably the best I am going to find for my price range?

Camskill have good prices but don't include fitting, I've tried buying parts in the past on the cheap and then asking local garages to fit them but they either wont do it because of warranty issues or they charge silly price to fit it that I might as well have just ordered it from them anyway, thanks for looking though

I use Camskill and my local place fits them for £15 each. Works out alot cheaper because the tyres are cheaper from camskill.

Try allnewtyres.co.uk there pretty cheap. And FYI, 205 is the width,50 is the height and 16 is obv the diameter, 87 is the load rating and N is the speed rating

£5 to fit and balance a tyre up here, still get them cheaper than Camskill fitted if shop about and Camskill is fairly local to me.
