im buying a monitor to use with my macbook after christmas, it will be used side by side with the macbook on a stand.
found these so far

is that better or just a bit bigger? ive read that 21.5 is the highest i should go at 1080p

on amazon the 24" version of the 1st one i posted gets loads of brilliant reviews, but then the 21.5 gets average/bad reviews

I've got a 24" 1080p Dell that I got before everything had hi res, it's done the job perfectly.
Often they use panels from different manufacturers in different sizes, or even different types of panel. I'd just go with whatever has the best reviews on somewhere like amazon or ebuyer. Probably can't go wrong for standard usage.
