What sort of games? May need to increase your budget if it's anything high end. This isn't too bad - http://h20386.www2.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=C1W55EA&opt=ABU&sel=PCNB
There is a 12% off code (12OFFAFS) which takes it down to around £350.
Within your budget, this looks ok http://www.ebuyer.com/398944-zoostorm-laptop-7873-9040 but doesn't come with an operating system.

Another couple that don't look too bad around your price range.

A new laptop for £300 that has a 17" screen and lets you play games? I think your expectations are somewhat unrealistic...
You won't get anything special for £300 spec-wise, and you certainly won't get a 17" screen (although I'm not sure why you'd want a screen that size on a laptop - do you know how heavy and bulky they are?).
Have a look on websites like eBuyer to see what's available for your budget.

This deal looks excellent for your needs. Better processor than the one you posted. If your willing to spend this, you probably will struggle to get a better 17" laptop for your money.
