Some interesting stuff...
Nvidia Shield

Samsung 4K 'floating' TV (personally think the stand's a bit much)
http://www.theverge.com/2013/1/7/3848150/this-is-samsungs-floating-84-inch-4k-tv
55inch 4K TV being launched in US at $12k, can't see this being the year of the 4K TV's at that price, maybe next year...

Interesting looking curved OLED from Samsung being shown off.
OLED is blatantly the tech they are trying to really get moving as its so later than expected and they know there is only so much they can talk about 3D which essentially hardly anyone is interested in

I reasonably priced 4K set should be just about the time I need an upgrade in a couple of years

Same here, my Sammy will do for another couple of years, got 5 years Richer Sounds warranty on it.
Won't make the mistake of not going too big next time.

Can't go big enough IMO.
Back in the early days of LCD's when the panels weren't very good and people were trying to justify costs, distance from it etc was always banded about.
I'm going as big as I can get, can't wait for an 82" 8K OLED in 10 years.

haven't really seen anything that exciting.
On the other hand, glad to hear my Pebble watch is being shipped in a couple of weeks.

Same, all a bit of a let down, they TV's are too expesive (and don't even work properly in some cases) and I've seen nothing else that makes me want to go out and buy.
Pebble watch, although clever, looks terrible.
