Hey everyone, just after a bit of advice please.
Here's the story
Went to uni and got a 2:1 in Computing
Got a job working 1st line
Been doing it for almost a year on 15k
The other day my boss came up to me and said he'd like to make me 2nd line in the next month or so
How much do you think he'll offer me/how much should I ask for?
Thanks!

it al depends on the company you are working for and if there are other companies around you competing IMO.
I do first line though (mixed in with some second line) and are on more than that salary.

As said could really vary. With one year's experience and going on what you earn now, I'd say 18 to 22k.

30k is a lot for first line support.
Any idiot can't do it properly and deal with infrastructure.
