Like, what primer do i need to use? if any??
Does the plastic need rubbing down with sandpaper?
Oh yeah, and i dont wanna put too much paint on, otherwise the lights wont shine through at all!

um for best finish, rub them down slightly, then prime it u must do about 10-15 layers very fine (the first layer should be almost so fine that u can baerly see it.
then just paint them in the same way, building it up layer by layer (very fine again).
just use normal paint from halfords etc. thats what i am doing, and my mates have done it and its work fine.
if u put to much paint on, u can just put brighter bulbs in.

use plastic primer, doesnt matter how thick it goes on becasue its clear anyway. then spray a thin mist of paint, its hard to get it even though.
