would this hit 200 bhp

hi comp pistons and forged rods with balanced crank
light weight fly wheel
cams with double valve springs
throttle bodies with omex management

Wouldn't be too far off if its a healthy engine with a good exhaust system, anything between 190 - 200bhp would be a safe guess.

There or there abouts IMO. Unless you need specifically 200, the few hp it may be lacking wont be noticeable anyway

the early type redtop are the distributor cap ones without a cat so how do you get them throught emissons for mot

If its pre1993 it won't need a cat test regardless of age of car!

Iirc it gets tested in the kit car section class of a mot.

Nope, if its pre 93 won't need a cat test.

They still have an emissions test but it is much higher

As said will still do emissions test mine went for mot yesterday and I asked him what its like he said on the machine he selects astra gte and the emissions are well within boundrys

Happy days, am I right in thinking you could buy a 52 plate corsa put a early ex in it and it would be virtually emissions free?

Would have thought so mine's a V 2000 with a early XE in and mot tester goes off the engine not the car
