How much for a load of leisure batteries?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MODEC-ELECTRIC-DROPSIDE-TRUCK-LEZ-COMPLIANT-TRANSPORT-OF-THE-FUTURE-5-5-TON-/271142646800?pt=UK_Commercial_Trucks&hash=item3f215c7410&_uhb=1

Needs 288v according to this

http://www.evsroll.com/EV_Specs_M-R.html

Can't find anything relating to current draw though, wouldn't need 100 mile range though, scrappy and the butty shop aren't that far away.

Not sure what capacity you would need, but for 288V you would need 90 of these

Although these have a slightly better capacity to weight ratio

A company called Axeon supplied the batteries for Modec. I've got some more technical information about the truck in some Uni notes. I'll dig it out for you

Axeon developed LiFePO4 battery 51.2kWh

51.2kWh x 1000 = 51200Wh

51200Wh/288v = 177.7ah

Based on that I would say the Axeon 256v 200ah battery would be the culprit.

256v x 200ah = 51200Wh

51200Wh / 1000 = 51.2kWh

next task = source one

Bit of a case study on a similar type of application http://www.axeon.com/Customers/Electric-Vehicles/Case-study--Electric-urban-truck-development.aspx

And the info about the battery came from here http://www.slideshare.net/sidatkins/swiss-modec-case-study-evs-paper

170Ah at 288v.

And that gets you 100 miles.

My leisure batteries are 113Ah which assuming you put them in series to get the 288v would give you 77 miles if you had 24 of them?

In other news - a grand for 100Ah at 12v

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12v-100AH-LITHIUM-ION-LiFePo4-DEEP-CYCLE-BATTERY-CARAVAN-SOLAR-3-YR-WARRANTY-/271109061579?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f1f5bfbcb

I'd want it to charge itself using magic for that price.
