Been offered a 2.0 ts selespeed for what id call cheap £500 (2002, 55k full Alfa service history). But don't know too much about them so just wondering if anybody had any dealings with them or knows much about them.
Common problems, things to check on it the usual things?

From what I can tell its a manual box with an auto control system.

Edit- It would ideally be a car to shove on and not keep too long.

Avoid! Selespeed uses hydraulics to control the shifting and its shite. Complicated system designed by Alfa which is prone for breaking.

Look on autotrader, appears it's not the bargain you're thinking it is.

Going price seems to be 1200-1700 for higher miles, so for 500 im thinking it might be worth a punt even to use for abit then break.

Are you limiting to region? Because that wasn't what I saw at a glance.
