Who has it, who with and how much do you pay?

We need to get ours sorted but there seems to be a huge difference in price with and without critical illness cover!

I have Critical Illness and a separate Redundancy PPI package with Axa through Britannia. Can't remember costs but they weren't cheap, however, when I compared the details, they worked out better if I did have to sue them.

I paid a bit more when I was living alone, through fear of not being able to pay the mortgage - now the missus and I are consolidating our assets, I'll probably drop it down significantly as we now have two wages plus rental income coming in so the 'risk' has been somewhat reduced

Also with bright grey, approx £40 pm for life, critical illness and accident insurance. Quite steep being a tradesman but best prices we could find

We were advised to take out 2 separate polices because the joint only pays out once.

Our mortgage advisor checked our aviva policy to see if there are separate payouts and there is.
