Stupid thread to make a few years back, but probably more Bmw's on here than Corsa's now!
What can you replace the tape deck with in an E46 without losing functionality of the steering wheel controls and the 6CD changer in the boot?
Ideally an AUX port or connect to Bluetooth too, what would you guys recommend, standard bmw cd player replacement? Or would another one work just fine?
Thanks

can get aux in put leads to work with std equipment. theyre about £12 roughly. plug into std wiring, giving the head unit another aux option which means it keeps std auto changer as well. just ebay e46 mp3

will work with tape player from what i gather on other listings.
problem is that the e46 radio is wider than regular din ones so looks a bit shit with the added fitting kit plate thing on the side, well in my opinion it does. ive just left my std cd player in.

How much you looking at?
Iirc it's a bitch to fit a double din to an E46 as there is a divider. Can't remember whether its metal or plastic tough.

Remember having one of them back in the day when I had a Corsa before I could afford a CD Player!
Don't knock them, they weren't all that bad

I was actually being semiserious. I've had one too, and for the average car audio, it's not going to be too bad.
Miles better than those FM transmitters, from my experience.
