Should put this in House Day.

Have you look on Money Supermarket?

How "average" is your credit rating?

Credit Card probably the way forward for a grand, get 0% in a year - move it around a bit after that if you can't pay it within the year.

I had a couple of late payments on stuff about about 3 year ago also about 4 year ago I messed up on a phone contract where I couldn't afford payments each month but that got paid in the end so guess my credit will be a little messed up?

Noddle is good, gives you recommendations on products that you are likely to be accepted on based on your circumstances.

I just tried Noddle, it gave me 4 out of 5. Thought that was a bit harsh considering my credit history is perfect with the exception of one late payment (less than 1 month late) a few years ago.

I'm sure all the other agencies gave me near perfect scores.

A loan for £1k will be incredibly expensive though. Credit card FTW.

So true, my mate bought one for £700 off ebay. Once of those 'Shineray' imports from china and it was fucked.

The thing was 2years old and all the bearings and suspension components needed replacing

I think they give everyone a 3 just so they can sell their improve product. It's not the score that you need to check anyway, it's just the details on your file
