So my cousin has destroyed his 1.2 corsa D engine by running it dry of oil and water. Looking to swap the engine but need to know where we can find a new one, or recon or used but working. Also what engines do we have a choice of if he wanted a slightly bigger engine? Has to be simply bolt in, not Xe let leh conversions.

Thanks
Ian

Aren't they all A12XER?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2012-VAUXHALL-CORSA-D-1-2-PETROL-ENGINE-ONLY-DONE-7k-ENGINE-CODE-A12-XER-/330878631042?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d09e73c82

Unsure whether a A14XER would drop in.

Get at least the 1.4 if it's a straight swop.

The 1.2 Corsa D we had was gutless, the car is way to heavy for the engine resulting in it being much slower than our 5 year older 1.2 Clio and using more fuel than our beemer.

Sold it in the end purely for the above reasons, I've no idea how so many of them 1.2 'limited editions' have been sold, obviously didn't get test driven first.

Depends how old, the older petrol ones are still z12xep.

Newer ones are a12xer or something along those lines, they have slightly more power.
