After 7 months of being here in Australia and owning 5 cara so far, last night I bought my 6th car. A Holden Barina GSi.

Spotted it on Gumtree and went and gave him a deposit last night. Will pick it up on Friday.

It drives very well!

Its a 1996 with 200,000 kilometres on it (just over 120,000 miles)

Tailgate has a wee dent and needs a taillight. Oh and it needs a drivers side L piece for the skirt (hint hint)

Apparently the exhaust cost $1000

Plans are to do rocker cover gasket, timing belt, water pump, some decent suspension and a decent anti roll bar, 15" wheels with good rubber, VX inlet and then go do a couple track days.

Need to get my CAMS track license first though.

Ive yet to see if it functions. Got a 1.2 Barina just now and the A/C most definitely does not work on that. Hoping to sell it soon!

You got any bits laying about of interest??

I'll have a look what I have got, it's all boxed up in work but I need to sort through anyways so I'll have a check.

If the wiper arms are knackered on your I got mine from http://vaux-world.com/ postage is quick too and a lot cheaper than getting stuff from here

Just picked this up tonight. Very happy with it. Drives very well and is the best Corsa ive owned yet.

Also, whats the top speed? (I thumped the limiter in 5th no problem and the speedo doesnt work :-/)

ROFL i was in Byford a few weeks back for a wedding reception. Wedding was on Rockingham beach
