Personally never had any experience with them but always see people rate Fk's as being cheap and cheerful and quite low! I think Nathan's are Fk's IIRC?

Fk's are pretty decent for the price. Pretty low with helpers out.

My old SRi on FK coilovers. Fronts could have gone a tad lower but would have scrubbed. Rears were as low as possible, helper springs out. Obviously could go lower on custom springs.

Oh and I wouldn't recommend second hand. I paid £280 for the FK's second hand, they were £450 new at the time. Had them on a week and one of the front shocks started leaking, cost me £120 from FK for a new one! Should have just bought a full new set.

I've got FK silverlines and there decent coilovers !! Good adjustability and I've had them on the car for well over 18 months now and they clean up good as new when I give them a wipe off . Only thing that does let them down is the fact that you can't adjust the dampening , so if I had the choice again I'd spend the little bit more and go for spax rsx or Gaz gha's but like you say he has a budget . Personally I'd buy new coilovers and not second hand but that's just me . My Fks were just over £450 delivered I think
